Internet of Things (IoT)-based Olfaction in Agriculture

The DOS committee is pleased to announce the participation of Prof. Mahdi Ghasemi-Varnamkhasti from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Biosystems, Faculty of Agriculture, Shahrekord University, Iran.

Prof. Volk will discuss the “Internet of Things (IoT)-based Olfaction in Agriculture“.

Many fields of agriculture need to be online evaluated and the Internet of Things could fulfil such aim. Prof. Ghasemi gives the example of Greenhouses, poultry farms and other fields as of such applications. 
He also adds that specially animals diseases can be monitored in the farm by olfaction based on IoT. The data can be transferred online and analysis can make a decision to deal with the disease. Such applications for IoT-based olfaction are reviewed. The future trend of this insight is bright.
