DIGITAL OLFACTION 2026 - CALL FOR DEMONSTRATIONS

DON’T JUST TALK ABOUT DIGITAL SMELL. DEMONSTRATE IT. DIGITAL OLFACTION 2026 – CALL FOR DEMONSTRATIONS
Tokyo, Japan | December 9–10, 2026
Can we capture a smell, transform it into digital information, transmit it and recreate it somewhere else?
And more importantly, can we demonstrate that it works?
The 9th World Congress of the Digital Olfaction Society (DOS 2026) brings together scientists, engineers and innovators working to make this possible.
December 9 | The Science
An exceptional scientific programme exploring the frontiers of digital olfaction:
- Takamichi Nakamoto – Wearable olfactory displays and interactive scent experiences.
- Inkyu Park – AI-powered gas sensors.
- Laura López-Mascaraque & Masako Okamoto – From olfactory biology to human brain responses.
- Philipp Müller – Digital olfactory displays and human–machine interaction.
- Simon Niedenthal – Smell in gaming, immersive environments and training.
December 10 | The Demonstrations
This is what makes DOS 2026 different.
A dedicated day to experience technologies, test devices, interact with developers and discuss what really works.
We invite universities, laboratories, startups and companies to demonstrate their innovations.
Electronic noses, scent-generating devices, wearable technologies, AI-driven olfaction, healthcare applications, robotics, virtual reality and beyond.
Selected demonstrations will also be eligible for the DOS 2026 Best Demonstration Award.
CALL FOR DEMONSTRATIONS – SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT
Deadline: November 26, 2026
