Save the Date – DOS 2026 | December 9-10, Tokyo, Japan 

The 9th World Congress of the Digital Olfaction Society is coming to Tokyo, Japan on December 9–10, 2026, marking a major milestone in the development of digital scent science and technology.

We are excited to launch a Call for Innovation and invite the global community to submit your proposals for talks or sessions that will shape the future of digital olfaction.

Alongside DOS 2026, we are continuing the Global Scent Digitization Challenge, a pioneering effort to capture, digitize and preserve the scent signatures of cities and environments around the world. Researchers, startups, technology innovators, cultural institutions, and city partners are all invited to contribute.

This challenge aims to build a lasting digital archive of scent data and explore new methods for scent capture, transmission, and restitution.

Together, we are pushing the boundaries of olfactory science—bringing the essence of places into the digital realm.
