Topic: Opportunities and Challenges for Drone-Based Odour Monitoring: Development and Maintenance of Calibration Models.

Highlights:

• The combination of hybrid gas sensor arrays with machine learning based calibration models enables the estimation of odor concentration as perceived by humans.
• Calibration models are tailored to specific plants and odor sources.
• While calibration costs are still high, they are more than compensated by the possibility of having on-demand, highly mobile measurements without the intervention of human panels.
