Opportunities and Challenges for Drone-Based Odour Monitoring: Development and Maintenance of Calibration Models
It is a great pleasure to welcome Dr. Santiago Marco, University of Barcelona and Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia, Spain, at the DOS 2024 7th World Congress this December in Tokyo.
Topic: Opportunities and Challenges for Drone-Based Odour Monitoring: Development and Maintenance of Calibration Models.
Highlights:
- The combination of hybrid gas sensor arrays with machine learning based calibration models enables the estimation of odor concentration as perceived by humans.
- Calibration models are tailored to specific plants and odor sources.
- While calibration costs are still high, they are more than compensated by the possibility of having on-demand, highly mobile measurements without the intervention of human panels.
